Yeah, THAT happened
This is more an announcement to my Substack people than anything else.
I have very few Substack viewers, by the way, and haven’t been posting very long.
Substack doesn’t play well with others. Or maybe it is FaceBook that doesn’t play with others and Facebook is the big kid on the block right now so I have to play with FaceBook and Instagram or there won’t be much of a game.
I have been writing Substack posts that I thought would be good things for my people to know. Sort of basic training stuff about farm life and what actually goes on at our Farm. OK, kind of informercials but as long on the info and as short on the commercial as I could make them and still have a bit of commercial in there.
The idea is to provide some actual worth to my people other than just our products.
I would write the post and then share it to FaceBook, thinking that my FaceBook people could look at that little link post, decide whether to dig into it and then click the link to Substack and either read the post or not.
Then I found out that while my posts LOOKED like they were linking back to Substack, they were NOT in fact doing so. There was no link there. I spent about two hours yesterday trying to figure out what the problem was but couldn’t sort it out.
I am kind of computer challenged also, so there is that. I know that already, please don’t rub it in. If someone knows a way to make my links from Substack to Facebook actually work, please let me know.
In the meantime, I am probably going to write my infomercials for Facebook and then also drop them on Substack.
By the way, it looks like Facebook is also rejecting links with You Tube also. It is looking more and more like Facebook doesn’t want to play with the other kids on the block.
I just thought it was so cool that all these platforms could interlink. But nope, not going to let me do that. There has to be a monopoly.
If you want to follow us on FaceBook, just search for North Pasture Farms on Facebook.
If you want to get the Substack posts in your email, just go to Substack and search for North Pasture Farms.
If you want to see our videos, got to You Tube and search for North Pasture Farms.
Oh yeah, it you want the website, go to Google and search for North Pasture Farms.
It is kind of a bitch to have to keep up 4 different methods of communication. If they all worked together and had slightly different purviews, it would be much better.
I will probably still post on Substack but won’t pay as much attention to it as I thought I was going to.
No worries.
